Anything more detailed about today's performance? Maybe some flaws or something that stands out in particular?

He made a couple of ill timed and unnecessary tackles. As for positives he utterly controlled the tempo of the game, constantly playing balls into the final third and keeping pressure on Arsenals midfield. Paired with Thiago I think he would really shine

Hummels: "Corentin is getting stronger and stronger everyday. If he continues he will be a hell of a player for us this season."

Very calm on the ball, showed that he is very dynamic and strong going forward and very able to take part in our short passing game.
Played 2-3 perfectly weighted long-balls.
Had some nice interceptions but also some fouls and made a mistake that could have been nasty when he tried his favorite pass through the middle but failed.
Scored a goal but was wrongly called off-side.

Very good performance.

His physical stature and aggressive play make him prone to the ill timed or unnecessary tackle but in my opinion it's not as much of a liability as Vidal's play. Overall he is in my definition of a complete midfielder in the same mold as Schweinsteiger. When he is paired with a DM like Martinez he can take up the box to box role with runs into the box as seen by his wrongfully offside goal. While when paired with a Thiago he is comfortable sitting deep and shielding the defense. All this is in the context of a two man midfield but still Avery exciting player to watch in the near future....

I still think the best would be a 3 man midfield with him, Vidal and Thiago.
But we have too many attackers who also want to play.

I really liked it. The guy was everywhere and give the tempo of the game with good ball.

He succed 100% of his passes in the last 30 meters and I saw him miss 2 passes in the entire game.

I disagree with you on this as we have 3 midfielder capable to run, run and run and recover balls (Thiago, Vidal, Tolisso) I think 2 is enough.

This Bayern team need more verticality with an additional offensive player.

3 CM is always the same story : Lewandowski too alone and less depth and verticality in our game.

What? Thiago is as different to those 2 as it can get.

His right sock was higher than the left. Not sure he had anything else to worry about.

What I mean is a Thiago, Vidal (or Tolisso), Müller midfield would be better for Bayern, as much as for the rotation all over the season, as much because imo we would play better like this.
Neuer - Kimmich Boateng Hummels Alaba - Goretzka Thiago James - Robben Lewandowski Coman
Ulreich - Rafinha Martinez Süle Bernat - Tolisso Rudy Sanches - Müller/Gnabry Wagner Ribéry

We will see. That's probably how it will be in the majority of Bundesliga games anyways.
I just think that in a 3 man midfield the offensive qualities of those 3 will shine more.

Sounds promising. I look forward to seeing him play properly.

Based on what you wrote I was also wondering whether he might be too similar to Vidal. The Vidal-Tolisso-Thiago midfield appears to be the most likely though. Maybe Tolisso will allow Vidal to take on a more offensive role.

He's better technically than Vidal.

Im still confused about how can we compare him with Dahoud from Dortmund. Who is better? I know that Bayern payed more on Tolliso but he is 2 years older than Dahoud. From what you have seen until they came to Bayern and BVB, who do you think is better between them?
