He always was like that and he actually took much god-like praise from us and was very close to achieve that praise from others as well(2013 Golden Ball nomination etc) it's not easy to control it and Franck was always a cocky outspoken person. Unless he makes troubles or unrest the team/club he takes a pass, normally.

Being cocky is not a problem as long as you have something to back it up - he always did - he doesn’t anymore...

He has been in poor form lately despite his assists from corners. Today Bayern were excellent from the left side but not so much on the tight side. If he starts firing again then we would be good on both wings.

Can't see tweet? Click here!

If this is true, then he should accept the competition. All the starters deserved their starting berth today... What do you think?

I would like to hear the whole interview

I'm sure he is not happy, but he didn't seem to be THAT angry on the bench

I love Robben, but Heynckes took the right desicion for this game, from the starting lineup as also substitutions.

With a 5 -0, Robben and Ribery can get a chance for the second game.

Why are we acting like it’s a bad thing that Robben’s upset? Tbh on his recent history he wasn’t a guaranteed starter, he can’t really argue honestly that he deserved the spot more than anyone else. But what makes Robben a winner is that he gets fired up and pissed off about being benched, and instead of acting like a pussy he responds aggressively and tries to put in a performance that says “I deserve to start”.

He’s competing to be in the starting 11 in the top team in the world. If he doesn’t come to work thinking he’s a badass, he is not doing his job. I know there’s room for a little honesty in self assessment, but people scrapping at the top need that fire and even to lie to themselves a little bit.

Exactly... we just need to compare what Douglas Coata did last yr vs Real to what Robben did yesterday....
