Following Thursday's friendly meeting with Guangzhou Evergrande, two other warm-up matches, a total of six training sessions and a host of marketing appointments spread across seven days in China, the FC Bayern players and officials boarded the return flight to Munich in the early hours of Friday morning local time. Immediately after the match at Tianhe Stadium the travelling party transferred to the airport, where their plane took off after an hour's delay at 1.30 local time (19.30 on Thursday CET).
