Leon Goretzka: "Joshua and I decided to start this initiative and to give all the people the opportunity to help relatively easily - without having to leave their homes."

Joshua Kimmich: "We must help each other. With deeds, with gestures, with responsible action and with rationality. We are one society."

Today there will be an extensive video interview with Joshua Kimmich and Serge Gnabry on FC Bayern platforms.

„Coronavirus, we can only beat you together!"

Be it Sven Ulreich, Felix Neureuther, Julian Brandt, Alexander Zverev, Felix Jaehn, Mats Hummels or NBA star Dennis Schröder - they all support the initiative, the brainchild of the two Bayern pros. You can also donate HERE!

Thiago and Lewandowski also donate

Thiago Alcantara is also involved in the fight against the corona pandemic. Together with his family's own foundation, the midfielder supports the efforts of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona in his native Spain.

In Munich, Red Cross helpers also received support from Javi Martínez on Thursday. And in his home town of Pähl, Thomas Müller donated schnitzel and roast pork for the many everyday heroes fighting coronavirus on the frontline.

Waiving salaries and solidarity across the Bundesliga

Solidarity with the club and its employees has already been demonstrated by all the FC Bayern players as they, as well as the entire board of directors and the entire supervisory board, waived 20 percent of their salary. President Herbert Hainer also personally presented the Munich food bank with a cheque for €10,000 from FC Bayern Munich Hilfe e. V.

FC Bayern, together with the other German clubs currently in the Champions League, also provided €20 million to help clubs in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 whose existence is threatened due to the lack of revenue at the moment.
