Thomas Müller turns 30

Postby FCBayernNews » Fri Sep 13, 2019 10:25 am

A native Bavarian turns 30! Thomas Müller celebrates his milestone birthday on Friday, and the whole FC Bayern family congratulate him. Müller is not only the longest-serving pro in Niko Kovač' squad, he has also spent more than half his life at FC Bayern.

Müller joined the FCB youth from TSV Pähl aged 11, winning the U-19 Bundesliga South/South-West in 2007. Only one year later, on 15 August 2008, he made his pro debut. The eight-time German champion has scored 185 goals in 490 competitive matches for the German record champions, lying fourth in the club's all-time scorer rankings.

But Radio Müller, who is never short of a quip, does not aim to rest on his laurels, and his age does not worry the 2013 treble winner. "I'm very relaxed. It's just a higher number now," Müller declared with his trademark grin. "I think 30 is a good age. It's a good combination of physical fitness and mental strength. I can really hit the gas." We are looking forward to many more successes together. Ois Guade, Thomas!
