Match at Union Berlin to be played behind closed doors – Tic

Postby FCBayernNews » Wed Mar 11, 2020 5:40 pm

The public health office in Treptow-Köpenick, Berlin, has on Wednesday decided that FC Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga game away at Union Berlin on Saturday, 14 March 2020 is to be played behind closed doors. In doing so, the authorities are following the “control strategy” of “reducing the increase of coronavirus infections and preventing possible infection changes”.

FC Bayern Munich will refund the official ticket price to all ticket holders who have purchased a ticket for this match from FC Bayern. They will be informed about the refund procedure in due course.

The Bavarian state government decided on Tuesday this week to ban events of more than 1,000 people initially until the end of the Easter holidays (including 19 April 2020). That means that any FC Bayern home matches held during this period will be played without spectators present.

Only those persons who have a work order for the staging of the match will be permitted inside. If FC Bayern home matches are played without spectators until the end of the Easter holidays, FC Bayern will make automatic refunds to those who purchased tickets for those matches.
