While Bastian Schweinsteiger celebrated his return to the training ground to put in a shift with Philipp Lahm, Xabi Alonso & Co, the FC Bayern performance centre was also a hive of activity. There are seven Bayern pros on the injury roster at the moment and a number of them were busy in the gym or working with the physios in the medical section. fcbayern.dechecked up on the progress of the seven - and all of them are on track.

Javi Martínez:The Spain international, who suffered a torn cruciate in his left knee in the middle of August, is in the USA until the end of the week. He was operated on in Vail (Colorado) and is now undergoing the usual post-operative checks. His rehab training is aimed at building up his muscles and circulation with exercises (e.g. on the ergometer).

Holger Badstuber:The central defender is currently undergoing daily physio sessions at the moment. He will start rehab training on Wednesday. He has been sidelined for the past eight weeks with a torn muscle tendon in his left thigh.

Pepe Reina:The Spanish shot-stopper has had to sit out the last five weeks due to a serious calf injury. His training plan covers strength and stamina drills plus mobility and stability exercises. He will have first run out on the Alter G(a treadmill that simulates a reduction in the user’s own weight).

Thiago:Thiago has undergone an operation in Barcelona following a repeat partial rupture of the medial ligament in his right knee four weeks ago. He is still in touch with the FC Bayern medics. Physiotherapy and initial rehab drills are the order of the day at the moment.

Tom Starke:A torn ligament in his left ankle has sidelined the keeper for the past three weeks. He is still wearing a splint but is working in rehab two hours every day. The focus is on building up the muscle in the thigh of his injured leg plus stamina drills.

Claudio Pizarro:Claudio Pizarro suffered a torn thigh muscle in training last week. The striker has been able to complete circulation and upper body exercises. He took the first steps in rehab training on Tuesday.

David Alaba:The Austrian is the last Bayern player to find his way onto the injury list. He suffered a partial ligament rupture and a medial meniscus injury in his left knee in the Champions League match against Roma. He was operated on two days later and is in plaster for 14 days to stabilise the joint. That means he cannot start working with the physios as yet.
