FCB to contest friendly against Guardiola’s Man City

Postby FCBayernNews » Mon Jun 06, 2016 11:05 am

FC Bayern have arranged a further friendly match as part of their 2016/17 preseason programme: the double winners will welcome top English club Manchester City to the Allianz Arena at 20.30 CET on 20 July. New head coach Carlo Ancelotti thus makes his home debut against his predecessor Pep Guardiola in the first absolute highlight of the new season.

“Our fans will certainly extend an enthusiastic welcome to our new coach, Carlo Ancelotti, and create a fantastic atmosphere in his new living room,” commented FCB chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. “We’re also happy to welcome Pep Guardiola and his new team back to Munich so soon.”

The players currently involved in EURO 2016 will not be a part of the squad, but Bayern will certainly field a top team, including the likes of Philipp Lahm, Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery, Xabi Alonso, Javi Martinez and Douglas Costa.

Tickets are exclusively available as of Monday 6 June from our online ticketing service at fcbayern.de. Ticket sales at our ServiceCenter will commence at a later point in time. Additionally, the match will be broadcast live on ZDF.

This offseason schedule is impressive.
Man City, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Dortmund. This should definitely prepare us for the beginning of the season.
