I think that the fair distribution of TV monies is one of the best ways of ensuring that a league stays competitive.

Theres more than just two or three teams in a league, and it really keeps the sport alive and for the long term sustainability to ensure a strong league of competitors.

It's something Scotland has been struggling with in recent years and something which will eventually hit a lot of countries.

^ Definitely. The competition would be much better as "smaller" teams would be able to at least bid for certain players. They don't necessarily have to scout players with 40M cost, however they can at least go for ones with reasonable single or double-digit costs without being held to a financial crisis.
