FC Bayern support Munich initiative 'Mia go online!'

Postby FCBayernNews » Mon Mar 30, 2020 3:50 pm

FC Bayern is supporting the digital aid programme 'Mia go online!' founded by the city of Munich, ReDI School Munich and UnternehmerTUM. The aim of the programme is to support small Munich-based companies with free consulting regarding digitalisation. The initiative helps companies stricken by the coronavirus pandemic, for example regarding switches to digital communication or online ordering systems.

FC Bayern München AG board member Oliver Kahn will open the digital event on Wednesday 1 April. With the help of experts, the participating companies will develop solutions to make their products and services available online within 24 hours.

"The people and organisations in Munich must stick together in these challenging times. FC Bayern are part of Munich's community, so it's a matter of course to support this initiative. It can be a valuable contribution in this crisis to develop digital solutions for small Munich-based companies," said Kahn.

FC Bayern and the initiators are issuing a last call for the remaining spots for digital experts and affected small companies until 18:00 CEST on 30 March 2020. The club and the initiators have cooperated closely in the context of the FC Bayern Digital Campus and the FC Bayern HackDays. FC Bayern, with more than one billion contact points with its fans on social channels, the website and mobile apps per month, contributes its expertise in social media and digital merchandising. All participating digital experts will receive the FC Bayern jersey and the FC Bayern game collection as a little thank you.

Clemens Baumgärtner, head of work and economy for the city of Munich, said: "We quickly saw that small businesses and restaurants desperately needed to go online to have alternative sources of income. I'm glad that in addition to our partners ReDI School and UnternehmerZUM, FC Bayern support us in helping retail businesses, restaurants, bars, hairdressers and other service providers in these difficult times."
