Brief lay-off for Thiago

Postby FCBayernNews » Thu Mar 15, 2018 1:45 pm

Thiago Alcántara is facing a short spell on the sidelines after stretching the tendons in the sole of his left foot during Bayern's Champions League Round of 16 return away to Besiktas on Wednesday. FCB chief medical officer Dr Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt announced the diagnosis after examining the player on Thursday morning. The Spain international will sit out training for a few days. Thiago scored the 18th-minute opener in the match in Istanbul but was forced off by the injury after 35 minutes.

He'll miss the match against RB Leipzig and therefore FC Bayern would not be obliged to release him for the international break, if I'm not mistaken.
