Bayern warm-up for Chelsea game with light Saturday morning

Postby FCBayernNews » Sat Aug 08, 2020 12:15 pm

Bayern are ready for the return of the Champions League, and ahead of the round of 16 second leg against Chelsea (kick-off at 9pm CEST, coverage available on fcbayern.com with our live text commentary and web radio), Hansi Flick’s side got warmed up for the evening’s encounter with a light Saturday training session. With the mercury rising in Munich, Manuel Neuer & Co. got a sweat on during the morning workout. The mood among the FCB squad was excellent as they completed their stretches and enjoyed a kick about.

Coming into the Chelsea game, Bayern want to book their place in the finals tournament in Lisbon. The Bavarians hold a 3-0 advantage from the first leg at Stamford Bridge in February. You can find all the info on the match here.

Coman training nearby

Flick will be without Kingsley Coman due to injury. The Frenchman completed an individual training session on a nearby pitch alongside youth player Leon Dajaku during the morning.

Sané & Co. also in action

A second training group featuring newcomers Leroy Sané, Tanguy Nianzou, Alexander Nübel and Adrian Fein was also hard at work on Saturday. Under the supervision of new assistant coach Miroslav Klose, they were training on another nearby pitch at Säbener Straße.
