Bayern en route to London

Postby FCBayernNews » Mon Sep 30, 2019 12:00 pm

On Monday morning FC Bayern set off for the Champions League match away to Tottenham. FC Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummennige commented before the squad departure to London: "I'm looking forward to the match. I haven't been to the new stadium, I think it's the world's most expensive stadium, so I'm curious about how it looks. And matches against Premier League teams in London are always highly interesting. It'll definitely be a challenging match."

Tuesday's clash will also be a duel of two world-class strikers. Spurs' Harry Kane scored five goals in nine matches in last season's Champions League campaign, whereas Bayern's Robert Lewandowski netted eight times in eight matches. "They're perhaps the world's best centre-forwards at the moment. I hope Robert will manage one goal more than Harry Kane tomorrow," Rummenigge said.
