A big deal for me - Musiala ahead of return to England

Postby FCBayernNews » Mon Jun 28, 2021 12:55 pm

Jamal Musiala can't wait! The 18-year-old FC Bayern forward is eagerly looking forward to Germany's UEFA EURO 2020 round of 16 clash with his 'second home' England. "I lived there for a few years and felt at home, I know a lot of people, I learned a lot. I wouldn't want to have missed all that. You don't just brush something like that off. This game is a big deal for me," the Germany international said in an interview with DFB-aktuell before the classic at Wembley Stadium.

"The next goals and trophies are already waiting"

Musiala, who moved from Germany to England with his family at the age of seven, arrived at the FC Bayern youth academy from Chelsea in the summer of 2019. He became the youngest DFB player in the tournament's history after playing in the final group match against Hungary (2-2). "It's something nice, but it has no effect on my character or attitude. I always try to give everything and keep developing" said the skilled dribbler about his record. "A title like this is great for the moment, but then things move on quickly. That's how it has to be, because the next goals and trophies are already waiting," said Musiala, already focusing on the upcoming tasks.

Serge Gnabry is also fired-up for the Wembley showdown:
