The fifth championship title in a row, Robert Lewandowski's incredible scoring streak, and fortress Allianz Arena: 2017 yielded a number of interesting stats. fcbayern.com has delved into the facts and stats.

The year 2017 in figures

0 - FC Bayern remained unbeaten in Bundesliga home matches for the first time since 2013. The Bavarians won 13 and drew three matches in 2017.

3 - David Alaba is the only Bundesliga player to score three goals from direct free-kicks in 2017. Besides this, the Austrian is the only player to score four goals from outside the box.

4 - Jupp Heynckes returned as head coach in October 2017, his fourth stint at FC Bayern. No other coach in the Bundesliga's history boasts so many spells at one club.

5 - FC Bayern sealed the fifth German championship title on the bounce in May, extending their record. No other Bundesliga team boasts more than three titles in a row. Captain Philipp Lahm was presented with the Meisterschale each time, equalling a record. Only Klaus Augenthaler reached the same number.

5-0 - Heynckes enjoyed a great comeback, a 5-0 win over SC Freiburg. Only Udo Lattek achieved a bigger victory when taking over at FC Bayern, winning 6-0 over Aachen in March 1970.

6 - FC Bayern beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-1, winning on Matchday 1 for the sixth time on the spin, equalling the Bundesliga record set by 1. FC Kaiserslautern, who won their opening games from 1989 to 1994.

7 - On Matchday 15 FC Bayern sealed the so-called autumn championship, the unofficial accolade awarded to the team at the top of the Bundesliga at the midpoint of season, for the seventh time in a row, a unique record in the Bundesliga. No other team sealed the Herbstmeisterschaft more than three times on the spin.

8 - Robert Lewandowski has scored in all eight Bundesliga home matches this season, surpassing Gerd Müller's record. Der Bomber found the net in the first six home matches of the 1972/73 season.

9 – Heynckes enjoyed his ninth Champions League victory in a row (including season overlaps) when Bayern downed PSG 3-1 in the last group match. Heynckes now boasts the longest winning streak of all Bayern coaches and of all German coaches in Europe's elite club competition.

13 - No player set up more Bundesliga goals in 2017 than Thomas Müller, who boasts 13 assists, equal with Leipzig's Emil Forsberg.

23 - Bayern wrapped up the autumn championship for the 23rd time overall. A good omen: the men from Munich went on to seal the championship title in 19 out of 22 cases, an 86% conversion rate.

25 - Bayern scored the most goals from set-pieces in 2017, finding the net 25 times, equal with Hertha Berlin. The Bavarians only conceded nine goals from set-pieces, fewer than any other side. One goal conceded from corners is also a best-mark.

100 - Manuel Neuer kept his 100th clean sheet in the Bundesliga wearing Bayern colours on Matchday 22 of the 2016/17 season. He needed 183 matches to achieve this mark, a new Bundesliga record. Neuer surpassed Werder Bremen's Oliver Reck, who needed 232 matches.

250 – Philipp Lahm celebrated his 250th league victory in the 4-1 win over Freiburg, his last Bundesliga match. He surpassed Sepp Maier and Lothar Matthäus. Only Oliver Kahn (310) and Manfred Kaltz (291) boast more Bundesliga victories.
