I don’t fully agree on the British. Definitely our culture is very much more British than European but we also do still have those Mediterranean traits, so we have ended up quite unique. I like it because thanks to the culture AND the language the UK pretty much feels like home for most of us but at the same time we are still unique and very different.

Difficult to answer my own question but I think ultimately I would lean towards British too. That said they were also the last conquerors... their influence might not last the test of time the way the Arabs’ (most of our language and place names etc. as well as certain foods and traditions) and the Knights’ (most of our distinctive architecture and what foreigners associate with Malta’s history is thanks to them) did.

Just how? Axis countries had no oil no rubber and little to no iron, coal and other resources....war was inevitable...yes maybe they could have traded them from other nations in the globalised world you blame everyday

Even that is debatable, since Germany firmly pursued autarky on account of their “shrinking markets” economic philosphy. War was unavoidable, unless you appeased Nazis to the extent of them ruling the whole world and having all the resources needed for their project.

Exactly what Ramsej would have done :P

From the very first minutes you can understand that his analysis is completely flawed and overestimates the importance of Poland as a casus belli. Nazi Germany needed war to defeat the Soviet Union and occupy/gain a sphere of influence on its European part and the Caucausus. Of course Hitler knew that he couldn't win a war on two fronts so he had to knock out France to secure the western front. Hitler did not want a war against Britain because of its huge navy and RAF forces but that doesn't mean that he didn't want a war at all (like Buchanan claims) and that Churchill was a moron for having not appeased Hitler after the invasion of Poland (like Buchanan claims). Operation Barbarossa vs Soviet Union was far more important to the Nazi than Operation Sea Lion vs Britain and the invasion of Britain was seen as a worst case scenario

From the very first minutes of September 1st 1939, Germans started to murder citizens (civilians, women, children, disabled, injured and surrounded soldiers) of neighbouring country, and they continued that until May 1945, also turning their homes and national heritage to ruins and earth. This has nothing to do with economics, markets, rubber fields, African colonies or tobacco in Churchill cigars, this has to do with Germans as a nation who chose Hitler and NSDAP to be their political leaders and who fully supported evil ideas with all German heart.

It has indeed A LOT to do with economics and resources. Failure to understand the real reasons why Germans voted the Nazi and Nazi Germany went to war makes many people label Hitler and people who voted him as "evil" "madman" and so on....then come Orban Salvini Erdogan and so on and they say "Well, it's not like they are evil madman as Hitler"...without noticing that they use the same arguments as Fascism and National-Socialism
