My Beamer says no to all your objections

I would’ve also taken one with a manual transmission though...

I haven't driven a manual car in years. I miss the feeling sometimes (not the brutal clutch and powerless steering of a scrapped Favorit though :P) but automatic is just comfortable and more convenient for our roads and traffic. And they are not really inefficient. Anyway, I only use the car once or maybe twice a week.

I drive manual as well. :P Though not opposed to getting an automatic car next time around.

Today I learned..

This impressive image was taken by photographer J. R. Eyerman and was featured in LIFE magazine. It depicted a chalk board full of calculations that the NASA Scientists were working on. People believe that the equations on the chalk board were only written on for the picture as the equations are general ones rather than equations the Scientists would have been working on at the time. The Scientists in this photo were known as Computers. This name was given to people whose job was to solve mathematical equations, hence how the name Computer was then given to the electronic device which could do their job years later

Today I Learned

Postby FCBayernMunchen » Mon Dec 03, 2018 10:10 am

Maybe belongs in the fun thread...

Carlos Henrique Raposo (born 2 April 1963), commonly known as Carlos Kaiser, is a Brazilian former footballer who played as a striker, better known as being a "farce footballer".[1] He was selected to play with many teams in his decade-long career, but never actually played a regulation game and hid his limited ability with phony injuries, frequent team changes and other ruses.

TIL the US ambassador in Malta gets 5% Hardship bonus for living in Malta.
