"If God gives/allows" // "Ako Bog da"

I see in GT the Croatian version translated in English says "God's willing". In our language we literally use the context "Božja volja" and it has a referent filter from the above phrase.
The one ramsej posted, “jekk Alla jrid”, means “if God allows” (literally: if God wants it).
This one here is different and means “good thing this/that happened”, hence the derivation from the phrase meaning “(it came) from God”.

And it's not a referent filter but a different meaning.

My Samsung automatically replaces my words with complete nonsense, hahahaha.

"Insallah/inšala" and specially "mashallah/mašala" is very common thing to us here who are from BiH or have roots from there, all 3 people.

Even Croats from Croatia who have nothing in common use quite frequently the word mašala.

Turcizmi, turkisms are normal thing here. It's a legacy of the Ottoman presence in BiH and giant part of Croatia for centuries.

Can anyone explain the “Jinx Protector ” I’ve been seeing recently. Am I old and behind the times now?

TRIPLE SIEGEN .
Can this be used for both triumphs ?
I guess so as one win is Siege, right?

Hi Ramsej,

der Sieg is singular (Triple-Sieg)
die Siege is plural (Triple-Siege)
siegen is the verb (Triple siegen)
der Sieger is the title (Triple-Sieger)

pretty sure that's correct, but maybe one of the native speakers could proof it

I am tempted to do my first tattoo ever....

& I would put 2013 2020
Hence the plural

i love it 8) but in that case, DEFINITELY check with a native speaker!

by the way, haven't seen Harry-Muc on the forum for a long time. I think he was involved in the tattoo scene in Munich.

If you want to emphasize the process of winning each time and just add the years fir reference (does that make sense?) it would be

„Triple-Sieg“ 2013&2020

If you want to emphasize that we were winners both times, it would be

„Triple-Sieger“ 2013&2020 (as winner/s is the same form „Sieger“ both in singluar and plural in German, same would apply for „Gewinner“)

If you want to commemorate both wins as a whole, it would be

„Triple-Sieg(e)“ 2013&2020 (="treble win(s)") - depending on your preference whether you use plural or singular - you know, in case there are more years to add in the future

The most standard way to do it would be tge one with least German in it though

„Triple(s) 2013&2020“, the plural -s once again depending on your personal preference...

Hope I could help...

Yeah you could just add other years to it...

If you made it Siege instead of Sieg it would have more of a list character... So yeah your
Proposition is best...
