1000K is A LOT of money...

Also, what's the problem? Sacred fountain? Is he naked? (Picture is blurred)...
Yeah he meant 1k. You have to understand that our capital city is surrounded by bastion walls and technically has only 4 entrances. This is a fountain just in front of the main entrance (which is practically the only entrance used by pedestrians). It is the most important fountain/monument in Malta.

You can go right up to the fountain, that's not a problem. Then he just climbed it and stripped down (or vice versa). It's not like it is surrounded by taser-gun-wielding police officers.

Don't think it was reported but probably a dare or something.

Regarding security it was brought up with politicians and they insist that it is adequate. To be honest I agree, I think this has been overblown a bit. We should use our resources better than having them guard a fountain 24/7. That said, the fountain was the subject of another amusing story a few days ago: a person sunbathing on a towl on the fountain as if they were at the beach. Probably this is why people are outraged at the lack of respect... although strictly speaking, the Triton fountain has no particular significance for Malta, no? Other than being an extremely famous cultural landmark.

I saw a golden image but cannot find it now. She was sunbathing face down and they put the words Valletta 2018 but with her ass replacing the 'V'.

It was reported that it was a dare in fact. The dude had only been in Malta for a few hours and was dared by his friends/colleagues. He didn't know the importance of that landmark.

I didn't know Maltese was part of Semitic language group. Do you guys understand anything Arabs/Israelis speak of?

A bit...
However some of the N.Africans understand us much more than we do.

Last time I was listening to a guy and what he said left me perplexed... the dialect used by the Christians of Syria resembles Maltese more than the rest.

Lebanese and Tunisian are the closest...

Hebrew... in the past there were theories that our language derived from it.
But it is not the case , our's is Tunisian dialect mixed with Sicilian.
Then over time other languages were mixed to it... like latin, Italian and finally English.

Our nrs are purely Arabic,
Wiehed
Tnejn
Tlieta

66 sitta u sittin...

Edit. That song I posted today is easily understandable for all semitic ppl.
You said that part of your family is from Jordan. If you make them listen to it I am sure that they will understand

Well I don't think I said such thing because that would be a lie. My father and mother both Turkish. Although my grandmother(father's mother) was Circassian her husband (my grandfather) was Turkish. Her family is the only family with different racial background in our grand family. I can track my family tree till 1328 (goes back to Jandarids).
