Great place! Also Titisee if you've been there, although it was raining heavily when I went.

been there and took a boat trip :)
There is another lake less famous - St Peter I think to which I haven't been though.

I took the boat trip too but as you can imagine it was very grey.

I did go to Kostanz as well. I think I've posted photos in the photography or photos of you thread

i think the Swiss may call it that, but not certain. Germans definitely call it Bodensee. Has anyone been to Lindau? Really cool city...

I might have when I was very young. The name is familiar. I'll have to look up the photo album to be sure though.

German Muslim schoolgirls who went on a visit to Holocaust memorials in eastern Poland say they were racially abused by locals during their trip.

Butbut - butbutbut: Poland is "doing it right", huh?

In the meantime, the Green party and SPD are pressing for "marriage for everyone", after the chancellor said she could imagine having a poll free of party/government policy JUST TWO DAYS AGO...
Clearly, they are trying to get this off the table as possible dead pledge for negotiations after the elections...

While I'm for equality, I'm clearly against this rush... Plus, again, I don't think it's fair to give tax (and other) benefits, that are meant for families with children, to people that are physically and biologically unable to have children...

Are you OK with giving these tax benefits to a family where, for example, the husband has had vasectomy?
Are you OK with giving these tax benefits to a family where the wife has undergone hysterectomy?
Are you OK with giving these tax benefits to a family where the wife has had menopause?

There are many couples who cannot have children. Some by choice, some by old age and some because their body cannot.

However, contrary to your thoughts, gays and lesbians can have children, to some extent. A gay man could artificially inseminate a surrogate mother. A lesbian woman could get artificially inseminated by a sperm donor.

In addition, if gays adopt children, they should also receive the benefits
