I think there's a difference in teaching religion and teaching about religion...
I think religious education has very much a place in schools so long as it is not indoctrinating, but EDUCATING, meaning teaching differences and similarities (yes, there are tons!!!) between religions and beliefs, learning about different branches and developments and how all of that started (erm, 'scuse me, historian coming through )...

Interestingly, while the bishop advocates teaching Islam in Church schools...

Education at state schools should be secular and void of religious doctrine, the leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community in Malta has said. [source]

That guy is very interesting. I think he is better than the long serving Imam. I don't know the difference between them though.

With all due respect Islam shouldn't be a subject in Catholic Church Schools it just doesn't make sense...

I've never heard of him before

And obviously regarding Church schools. I'm not even against the teaching of Christianity in those schools even though I am in state schools

Church schools can do whatever they want as long as it is within the law... Agitation and hatred should be banned in all of them (regardless of their religion) and enforced by law adequately...

While a Muslim child would never visit a catholic church school, I think it's safe to say it'd be the other way around with a Christian Child and a Muslim school... Hence the importance of religious education in federal schools... It promotes mutual understanding, reduces fear and is thus beneficial for living together (what ramsej would call integration )

Church schools accept a number of refugees who might be muslims from Somalia Sudan and Erithrea. They get orphans, children with special needs,
Children who come from difficult situations, siblings and children of the teachers.
Then the remaining few posts will be left for the rest who will be drawn by a lucky draw

Plans to suspend the “world’s tallest” skyscraper from an asteroid orbiting Earth have been unveiled by an architecture firm.

Analemma Tower would be hung using reinforced cables from a comet 31,068 miles above the planet’s surface, with the orbital path taking the building in a figure of eight pattern over various cities, including New York and Havana. [source]
