:D does any of you ever saw this series?
My God I remember watching all the episodes after school and / or while eating / doing homework.
those were the days...

yeah, the old and the new one. as a kid i tried to create some "super moves" myself. my favorite players where schneider, hyuga, wakashimazu, sawada and hayata (i think that was his name...the defender with the "killer tackle"). i even named the players in my bayern team on fifa 96 after them.

I used to watch them on Italian TV and today I learned that names were different:
GK - Benjy Price and #10 Oliver Atton his friend #11 Tom Baker...

then their opponents #10 Marc Landers and GK Ed Warner ....

The same series was translated and named according to the country of broadcast. That was the case for me.

In Italy they call them cartoni animati. So both might be ok

in the "original" its called captain tsubasa (name of the hero). its a manga (comic book), thats ongoing till present...the anime series covers only a part of it. the german version had the original japanese names (of course just for the japanese players). interesting fact: in the manga the clubs have their real names, like fc bayern where schneider plays. in the anime version bayern was called rotburg.
