April of 78 years ago was the worst during WWii for us Maltese....

April 2020 could be the worst for us during this pandemic

The fatality rate seems to have started correcting itself sadly. We had a lucky first month.

The today's cases

That guy who came from abroad on March 3rd .... tested negative then he started with mild symptoms... went to work... to friends... to buy.... and voooom

That 21 yr old who got it either from scan or piscopo got infected... before she had symptoms she visited an elderly

The healthcare workers.....

And ten more migrants....

I hope that beaches are closed off asap
(Australia did it)

Is it possible the one who went abroad didn’t get it from abroad?

Regarding beaches: every public place that encourages loitering should be closed. I don’t know whether you’ve been out on walks, but last time I went on one I noticed that in our town they’ve roped off all the playgrounds, gardens, and squares, even those which never really have any people. It’s the way things should be. By closing off these places you might not need to impose a full lockdown so people can still go out to exercise. No one is going to congregate in large numbers in a random village street.

It just doesn’t make sense that it seen as OK for there to be 300 people in a small beach just because they are all in groups if 3. You can’t fine them, and it wouldn’t make sense to do so, but they should be sent home.

They're still a couple of days until the projected peak date.

Hopefully these numbers turn out wrong.

One more day until the projected peak for us in Germany.

PS: Don't know whether you've seen this Reuter's report.

Special Report: Johnson listened to his scientists about coronavirus - but they were slow to sound the alarm | Reuters

According to this Johnson isn't the one to blame, he was just following the scientific advisors. Any other government would have probably done the same. I don't see any western government acting against their advisors, apart from maybe the first couple of weeks in the USA.

Doubt these advisors were hired by the current government ... and over here, no one but the dumbest dimwits are attacking Drosten ... well, Streeck maybe, but he's turning out a dimwit, too.

Edit: It doesn't look like Johnson's administration hired / selected them, more like they were already in place.

To be fair, UK government incompetence goes back at least 5 years, probably more, and is not just Boris.
