To be fair, better now than after COVID-19 is over and we'd have to start social distancing rules all over again.

While I don’t know, I would guess that this kind of thing is actually quite common. New iruses are identified, scientists see their ability to spread to humans and mark them as potential pandemics, and probably most of them never even become epidemics. It’s just that news like this right now and for the next couple of years is bound to make headlines.

Yeah that's about right. If people ever wonder what scientists really do, creating a vaccine in response to this type of discovery before it becomes a major issue is a good example.

Yeah there’s a ton of these viruses... The danger of a pandemic, especially flu-like, has always been and will always be, comparatively high...

With humanity being able to be at the other end of the world within less than a day we of course catalyze the possibility...

Tönnies has stepped down as head of Schalke's supervisory board - fallout of the ca. 1500 Covid cases in his meat factory in Güterloh, which sent two counties into weeks of lockdown.

The state of Saxony-Anhalt has started mass tests in his factory in Weißenfels now. 2200 employees.
