Well, there is going to be tourism in Croatia this summer and adjusted beach rules. It's already in preparation to make seats and loungers between 1,8 and 3 meters distance. 2 will be together and then the mentioned space.

You can have a wedding party and invite 50 people in wedding halls. This is about to become real.

On funerals it is already allowed max 50 people, but 2 days ago this wasn't the case with my neighbor's son who died and was buried at neighborhood's graveyard. I think there were between 100 and 200 people. Not good, but at least there wasn't new COVID infected in my county in the last few days.

Your biggest challenge on Malta once these numbers start to decrease are going to be Maltese from abroad, migrants and foreigners, just like it is already in Croatia.
As COVID is weakening, migrants have started again moving towards the borders with Serbia and BiH to cross them and move to Central and West European countries.
It's a very big problem since Croatia isn't in Shengen and they would become our problem because Hungary, Slovenia and Italy aren't going to allow them to cross their borders.

Serbian president 3-4 days ago decided to send military on a border in place called Šid, just 20-30 minutes away from my city by car. They are there since yesterday, but because of COVID, not migrants although I'm sure it's because of them, too.

In northwestern BiH it's been a problem for a whole year back and local people were very nervous and angry.

MUTU wrote:For a moment I thought this was a joke. This is Malta's prime minister.

“Instead of scaremongering people with the second wave, the best thing people can do is go to the beach and follow social distancing guidelines,” he said.

As things stand, there is no reason to keep establishments closed. If there was any reason to do so, I would have chosen people’s health over and above everything, Abela added.

“Why should we "punish" people and keep them locked indoors when scientific and medical evidence is showing us that we don’t need to do this? Why are we scared about people who went for a walk, or to the beach?”

I think it’s a case of saying all the wrong things to try to convey his message. I believe he wanted to say “the best thing we can do right now is try to live normally while taking all the precautions as individuals.” But him saying that by telling people to go to the beach was always bound to misfire and be misinterpreted not just by opponents but by people as a whole, which is the bigger problem.

For the second paragraph, we have to keep in mind and appreciate that he is a very tough situation where he has to choose the lesser evil. The ideal, from a health perspective, would be to keep everything closed down, but health authorities only have to concern themselves with what is best for health. As Prime Minister he needs to consider many other aspects. I do not like the people around him nor do I look that he is a Prime Minister voted into the role by fewer than 10k people, but he started off with a massive crisis at once and I think his mostly handled it admirably and taken the right decisions.

I think his last point is correct.

Well, there's a growing body of evidence that meetings in the open air may not be that much of a problem. The biggest problem are assemblages of many people in closed rooms, especially when talking loudly or singing.

Choirs in particular seem to be super-spreading events.

Today 2 in Croatia. Last 3 days: 1, 2 and 2 infected.

2228 infected, 1946 recovered and 95 dead. Can't wait to see the number of recovered surpassing 2100. The sooner the better, in fact awesome!
Life is returning to usual, people are outside, café terraces are slowly filling with people day by day, restaurants work, people visit them once again and eat. Dear God, I beg you that this all ends in 2 weeks in my country so that our doctors and all medical staff finally end with their painful Calvary. [-o< [-o< [-o< [-o<

Others said that they fell really sick..
And others said that the streets were almost empty...

Fu kong bastards and then the w.h.o told us not to isolate China

Interestingly enough these meltdowns only occur when it suits him...

I mean shouldn’t he be happy the world order he hates was thrown out of whack?

Not that crap again ... there's absolutely zero evidence that these athletes had covid 19. It's all claims and conjectures. If they are so certain, why doesn't anyone present a positive antibody test?

Ramsej84, you are the one who wants to give government more control, and China is a good example, for example with their Internet censorship that you approve of for sure.

Also, you think charity begins at home. China profited economically from taking their time to let the rest of the world know about the disease.

Aren't you the one who believes countries should do what is best for them and fuck the rest? Or are you only in favour of that when it suits you?

Let us say that they did not contracted it...
Still the strange things they observed are enough evidence to tell that something fishy was going on.

Also the same French authorities had said that they can be 100% sure that they had patients in Nov / Dec with the virus.

The destruction of the economy was done by the countries, not the virus.
