Yeah that won't happen Element. We'd rarely need to talk about basements on this forum...

I'll be up for it. I'm going to be studying in England from January to early May next year, and was already thinking of trying to get a ticket for a game during that period.

One of the planning problems around going to Munich for a Bayern match, and trying to fit it into a weekend, is knowing when the match will be played: it could be anytime from Friday night to Sunday late afternon. In the middle of the season, the precise dates are published only a few weeks in advance.

However, three games are predictable, and I have started to focus on them for that reason:
(1) First game of the season is on Friday night and the reigning champions play that game at home.
(2) All second last games of the season are at 3.30pm on Saturday.
(3) All last games of the season are at 3.30pm on Saturday.
(So, theoretically, Bayern should be at home for one of those last two.)
I thought I'd mention it, as it might be worth considering.

After getting to three matches two seasons ago, I got to none this past season, and am promising myself I'll try to get to at least one next season. The games above are the most likely options.

I would likely be there if it is at the end of the season, as my Frau and I are planning to visit family sometime around there. We might as well make it when we can hook up with some of you.

As a Fan Club, are we not entitled to purchase a group of tickets for a match?

We will not want to stay in anyone's basement however. :P

Have you any idea what game your planning to go watch, bundesliga or champions-league?

Bundesliga is cheaper and easier to get a ticket. No idea on date though.

I know I am looking too far ahead and perhaps being too optimistic here, but who plans to go to Berlin or Munich if we reach the final?

I will do my best to go to Munich if we do. To Berlin too if I can get affordable tickets.

I'm thinking of coming over somewhere between October - December. Depends on lots of things, but I'd like to watch a CL match. Though if I'm not able to get tickets for that I wouldn't mind a BuLi game either. I probably won't be able to get CL tickets as I don't know of any website that sells them, but doesn't hurt to try.
