Or was never positive in the first place. It's rare, but anywhere from ~0.5% to 5% of tests administered may report a false positive...

Nope, lab tests in Germany are correct in 99.99% of cases so only one in 10.000 is false positive...

IF it were true, he might well be "recovered": infected is not sick in all cases and sometimes, the virus us only measurable for about 5 days....

The Munich Health Office therefore now assumes that last Tuesday's positive PCR test was false-positive and has therefore lifted the quarantine measures. [source]
