He did though and while I am extremely cautious myself... I think you need to think about food economy as well...

Yeah I do... But I cannot fault him for sticking to the guidelines... Not like he was parading around Berlin...

Next week's game vs Barcelona would mark 15 days since Ronaldo tested positive for COVID-19.

Gnabry tested positive on 20th October. 15 days later would be 4th November. Gnabry cannot be allowed to play on 3rd November even if he tests negative. The first match he'd be able to play would be from 4th November onwards, and that would be BVB on 7th November.

There is nothing strange, they're comparing like with like. Only difference is that Bayern have a tighter schedule, that's all.

Really this just speaks more towards how crazy congested our schedule is, not so much about how severe Gnabry's illness is.... It's 3-4 matches, the first three are in a span of just 7 days (24.10 thru 31.10) and the fourth (Salzburg) would make it four in just 10 days (24.10 thru 3.11)

It's also being reported that Ronaldo has *not* yet cleared testing - he's logged a second positive, so will miss out on the Barca match. [source]

What are the rules? How long is the grace period between testing negative and being allowed to train and play again?

I am not sure about Bundesliga rules or other leagues, but for UEFA it is basically that you have to be able to present a negative test at least one week prior to a match to be able to feature in it, as I understand it

It is currently recognised that those who have recovered from COVID-19 may still be at risk of
delivering positive PCR test results, despite having no contagion risk nor virus symptoms.
Participants from Group 1 or Group 2 who have verified confirmation that they have now
recovered from the virus are invited to submit documentation of this to the UPAP, including
the date of diagnosis of the virus, complete relevant medical history and any other medical
documents in this context e.g. SARS-CoV-2-RNA test or any other laboratory tests. This must
be provided at least one week before the team’s next UEFA Match. [source]

Edit: for training I'm not sure. I guess that is probably at the team's discretion? Dunno....

So it means that either:
  1. The test on 20th October had a mistake,
  2. The test on 22nd October had a mistake, OR
  3. Gnabry is a superhuman
