Imagine the rest of the team going on vacation while others are playing matches and keeping themselves fit for when the CL resumes. Let's see if they come back some 4 kilos heavier now.

They are just 3 matches away from winning a treble. If that is not motivation enough not to get fat then they don't deserve the Champions League trophy.

Imagine someone constantly shitting his pants - and for the wrong reason...

Imagine a team recharging while others have to play exhausting matches...

We just came out of a long spell of games and we started to get a little tired... Those teams have to play 3 games a week until it starts... This is just as big of an advantage as it is a disadvantage...

Lol gain 4 kilos in 2-3 weeks. If a professional athlete does that then he doesn’t deserve to play the sport at all.

Although this is a “vacation” I’m pretty sure all the players will still workout personally and stay in shape. Especially guys like Lewandowski, Kimmich, Goretzka, Neuer, etc.

This, and as it stands they're just 14 days away from resuming training AFAIK. I'm certainly not an elite athlete but I think I'd have to put more of an effort in to gain 4kg in 14 days than I would to not, lol

Theoretically if you drank 10-12 beers a day while sitting on your couch and not moving for 14 days, on top of your daily food intake, you could do it. An extra 2000 calories a day would be enough lol

Bayern should try to fit him back in the team if possible. Provided he hasn’t lost his speed much I think Süle would be a better asset to deal with Chelsea and then Barcelona.

Yes Boateng has been great this year but the thought of him going up against his old tormentor (Messi) is a scary prospect.

Im just as terrified (if not more) of seeing Süle vs Messi than Süle vs Boateng. We need smaller, less bulky defenders.

Pre injury Süle was pretty fast compared to Boateng. I don’t know how fast the big guy is now though.

I think with Davies, Alaba we have the left side of the defense covered in pace. Pavard and Boateng are both slow so that side can be exploited. The other solution is to play Alaba RCB and Hernández at LCB. That way we know 3/4 of our defenders won’t be beaten for pace.

It's not speed that worries me, it's agility.

Süle is fast, but he needs a lot of meters to gain top speed since his acceleration is just a "normal" one. I even think Boateng can be quicker in a short space since the 194 cm of Niklas is not doing him any favours. Pavard is not so slow as people think - he recorded a 33 km/h sprint this year with Bayern, but sure the best thing to defend against a quick, little, agile strikers is going to be Alaba-Lucas partnership.

But we all know that Flick is not going to start with them, but with Boateng and Alaba since he's got the maxima - "Don't fix anything not broken".
