What's his status? Can he be ready in 5 days or the injury is much worse? There's no clear indication on the degree of his injury.

Yeah, there's so much ambiguity surrounding this injury. We can only hope for the best

Considering that when they are certain players will recover they end up NOT recovering, doubt/hope about a return to me means almost definitely that he will miss out and not even make the bench.

Yeap, that's unfortunate true. That is going to be biggest blow for return game, according Martinez red card there is not much option
Better strategic retreat than dishonorable defeat

He'll probably be available after next week If we rush him
May Bayern rule the world again!

Bad ankles against a counterattacking side like Madrid really is a recipe for disaster. If he isn't ready, Alaba should be set to go. With no Bale in the second leg, I would imagine either Lucas or Asensio starting instead.

Lahm-Boateng-Alaba-Bernat

Ankles are a tricky injury.

I could easily switch flanks to Lahm and play Kimmich RB and Lahm LB.
Absolutely no trust to Bernat when it comes to big games, he collapses big time.
He can play all he wants at Bundesliga but not in this game.

Hummels won't be ready, maybe on the bench but not completely fit, they said that he will be absent for nearly 3 weeks. Boateng-Alaba then.

You're right, but I would prefer Rafinha on the right and Lahm on the left. Kimmich is an incredible talent, but throwing him on as right back with practicably no match experience at that position this season against CR7 is absolutely asking for problems.

Rafinha rarely screws up and has decent chemistry with Robben.

I totally agree with the chemistry but Kimmich is more robust as a player, more quick and has something that Rafinha lacks offensively, if you watch closely many times Kimmich when he is off the ball he cuts vertically into the middle when Robben plays out too wide on 1v1. Kimmich in short distance has some great bullets on the target as we saw in the first round of the season.

Bottom line, Bernat to start in this particular game is a huge NO.

Just a reminder...
Kimmich played in that position for the whole of the last Euros
