I have a gut feeling that Manuel will play no part against RM over the two legs. No unnecessary risks will be taken this time.

Also, keeping a clean sheet in the home leg is more important. In all likelihood Ulreich is gonna play in the 1st Leg so risking Manuel in the second leg is not ideal.

Mindgames?

Personally, I will not be surprised if he suddenly appear in the squad which will face Eintracht.

Yes, the chance is small .. but somebody should think of this option as well. (me :P )

I think it was rather close to something like Jupp wishing to train only with players that have a chance to play against RM. Neuer isn't one of them.
He'll most likely explain it tomorrow in the presser, though.

Well that was my prediction which I posted in this thread but I don't think it will happen. I now don't expect him to play in April (or 1st May).

He returned to team training on the 20th. If his recovery has gone according to plan so far then I hope he plays against 1860 on Sunday or at least makes a sub appearance.

If this doesn’t happen then I think his chances of playing this season are looking very very bleak and he might have to sit out for the World Cup.

Anyone still thinks Neuer did NOT suffer a fresh setback? A week ago, he took part in (parts of) team training. Since then, not anymore.

Not broke his foot. But it definitely isn't normal for someone to join team training and then nothing in the following 7 days. He must have had some small reaction. No other way to explain it. Since then doubts about his participation at the World Cup increased.

Let's not forget the original estimate was November. Then January. Then February. Then March. Then April. Now it is May...

Probably his foot is super swollen.. They said that there is no reaction from the injured place, so for me this is the only explanation at the moment.
