Better let it heal off right this time... We can manage a few games without him...

When is Neuer expected to be back in goal for Bayern? I won't mind him taking an extra couple of months off if that means he'll be back to 100% fitness. We can manage without him at the start of the season it's after January that he'll be needed the most. Plus with the WC coming up it would be best if Neuer lets his foot heal fully and is not rushed back into the playing eleven.

Well he said he expects to be fit for the Bundesliga opener. In my opinion I think he is too hopeful, but we'll see!

Ancelotti said today that Neuer should be back by the time the Bundesliga starts.

Although I know that Manuel is a freak of nature and he's being attended by some of the best doctors/physiotherapists, I still believe that he should not hurry himself to the first team. I'd have no problem with him talking one more month off and then playing a few second team matches for Bayern II before coming back to the first team. The last thing Bayern fans want is to see our captain and best goalkeeper to re-injure himself.

We've been over this a long time. We are not in a position to know when the realistic comeback date is to know whether he's being rushed in or whether they're playing it safe. If they did wait a month more and said he'll be back a month after the Bundeliga starts then you might still have felt the same and wondered whether he should've waited an extra month. Or another. In such a vicious circle, he might as well retire :)

In FCB II? Dude, please...

What do you think happens if he picks up a serious injury there?
Also, he's a goalie

Sven Ulreich: "I'm going to play in the DFB Pokal in Chemnitz, but then Manu will play against Leverkusen"

Still think he should comeback after the international break. No need to rush him (and Boateng) back. It's just two games so there is no need to take unnecessary risks. And Ulreich should be good enough to do the job against Leverkusen at home and Bremen.

Neuer won't play the BL opener.

Correct decision I believe.
