Boateng out for several weeks, the season start will be 'tight' according to comments he made when he left the clinic this afternoon.....
Last time he said a certain return date would be tight, he was out for an additional 3 weeks, so I'm guessing we won't see him until mid-september. Grand....

I wish European football was similar to the NBA with players seeing it as normal to skip NT competitions cause the US has many top basketball stars deferring the chance to compete in the Olympics and I wish Bayern stars would do the same more often than not....

I just realised, after our first game of the season.....we have NT break.

Die Mannschaft have a match against our NT in Mönchengladbach on August 31st. As much as I'd love to see the best possible DFB-XI against Finland, I really really hope that Neuer & Co. get a sudden stomach bug or something.
The first WC-quali is against Norway (away) on September 4th.

Following a visit with Dr.Muller-Wohlfahrt, Boateng revealed to the reporters on hand that his injury is serious.
"This will be tight, I cannot promise it,” Boateng said when asked if he would make it for the start of the season.

I cant wait for Boateng to be about 95% fit for the first match, but be held out for precautionary reasons.... and then he'll play for the national team an reinjure himself

first match of the season is August 26.... and then we have an international break
personally, I'd love to see him ready for September 10 vs Schalke.... have him sit the first game of the season and stay with Bayern during that international break
I'd feel much better about that than trying to rush him back for August 26th vs Werder friggin Bremen where we should be just fine without him and then having him leave for international duty
