One eventually has to start questioning our training methods though?

Was he tackled during training? Or is it some self-inflected injury? Is the cause or the exact nature of the injury known?

There's also speculation that the hybrid training grounds are the cause for those injuries. If I remember correctly players had cramps after the first training sessions on that.

The Sport1 article says that Martinez has complained about problems on his knee during the week.

It's hard at this level for a German team who are widely known about their great physical game having so many injuries(especially muscle injuries)

It's suspicious a guy like Benatia with that physique & body becomes a glass player without having a history at Serie A playing for 2 different teams.
Boateng has never ever had problems, even Lahm and Alaba got injured,so many injuries are either from Pep's and his staff extremely high tense training or the player himself comes from a very bad state or from a lower league & doesn't take care his body good enough(unprofessionalism)

Dr.Muller is out so Pep and his staff is on the target at the moment normally,of course Pep and his methods are questionable I can't imagine that at Bayern Munich we have more than 8 unprofessional players that don't take care there body & doesn't do a good life, maybe 1 or 2 but the numbers of our injuries must be a rekord,so Herr Pep you must be doing something veeery wrong plus that Bayern should take a glimpse at medical & physical staff

Actually Benatia has suffered from thigh injuries at Udinese, Alaba is young but already had a pretty bad injury in 12/13. Lahm's condition could probably be explained with his growing age.

Marca: After the HSV match Javi Martínez had a MRI examination which delivered no negative results. Only several following examinations showed a nearly impossible to detect detachment of the meniscus (0,5mm!). Javi Martínez is sure that he won't be out for longer than 3 weeks.

A blessing? Really? Not even a blessing in disguise if we have to buy a new CB because Martínez will be out for months...

The last time he was injured badly, I remember hearing something that sounded similar from him. Just a positive attitude, I'm not getting that excited.

I don't think he said "not a bad injury" after he tore his ACL which was already confirmed during TV coverage...
