From what I understood, if Martínez's injury happened some 20 years ago, his career would have been over. It's that serious.

Haven't seen any official news from Bayern about this... best not to rely on TZ too much

TZ aren't carrying the news, they're just reporting what kicker wrote.

20 years ago a torn acl was career ending? Dont make such a fuss.. Some people take a little longer when they tore it.. I even remember players being out 9 months..

This is what TZ are saying:

Was noch vor etwa 20 Jahren das Karriereende bedeutet hätte, ist nach aktuellem medizinischem Stand in rund sechs Monaten auskuriert. [source]

But it's not just the torn ACL that was earlier communicated. It's the lateral ligament, cruciate ligament, medial meniscus and the capsule.

That is what I thought when I saw the injury happen. I have seen those before and was surprised that he had any chance to play again this season.

Dortmund again? better not ... he might be affected badly... His last two appearances for us were vs BVB - DFB Pokal and super pokal!

And he was the MVP , to be honest if it's BVB two are the nominees for the best player Javi Martinez MVP for the CL Final and Pokals or Robben who is scoring against them everytime since 2013

Just bring back the Spainiard he is a bull, give him time to adapt and everything will be OK,rock as solid again I hope.

Martinez doesn't need to be wasted on BuLi rabble. The biggest games is in which he delivers - CL final, Euro Super Cup final, last seasons Pokal final, 3-0 beating of Dortmund in the league - whether or not he is available for Werder or Stuttgart I could not care less about.
The ideal team
