Niko #Kovac on
@David_Alaba
: "I spoke to David briefly. I think it could be a strained muscle, but we need to see what the tests say."

EDIT:

Kovač says David Alaba has apparently torn his hamstring, which would mean he will be out for a long time.
Salihamidžić: “Correct. Dayot Upamecano will play for FC Bayern for the next five years."

Really is torn hamstring apparently. I thought the season was already over but turns out it just started. The fight against relegation.

If it is a Grade 3 tear then the purchase of Max in the Winter has to be #1 priority

An official diagnosis remains to be made, but head coach Niko Kovac gave the media ominous tidings after the match. Concerning Alaba’s injury, Kovac told the media (AZ), “It could be a muscle tear, given how he described it to me.” Such an injury would sideline Alaba, who has been among the best, most consistent performers this season, even beyond the international break. “We have no outside-back. Now exactly what I feared has happened. That happens when you’re tired,” Kovac concluded. [source]

I wonder Kovac, weren't you also of the idea that the squad was large, gave the go-ahead for the sale of Bernat, and are a fan of rotation? So how exactly is a player tired in October?

Wow... Two season ending injuries by October if true and another very serious one. You have to admit there's an aspect of bad luck too.

With our md, he should be able to play the last match before the winter break right?

Soon I will pay someone working at your school (and I do know which school you teach in) to slap you so hard some of your spit comes out.

It's true.
Cursed with a crap medical staff.
Cursed with a thin squad.
Cursed with management who refuse to reinforce injury-prone positions/players.
Etc....
