Alaba has had back problems for years now. Could they be linked to his years of underperforming? I wonder...

IMO this could be a blessing in disguise. IF Bayern sign a decent left back like Max!

This is not how Bayern operate. I doubt we'd look for a new player even if he's confirmed out for season. We'd just cheap out. As always.

Hopefully just a few weeks. :(
We need Alaba. He's been conspicuously absent in some of our big CL losses in recent years. Only at striker and at goalie is there a similarly big drop-off in quality as there is at his position...

Like when we bought Benatia after Javi tore his ACL.
Kovac just hinted that we might do something if it's something bad.

Puts us in a tricky spot. I think it’s clear Bernat wanted away and we’re happy to sell, but that’s tough now. And I don’t think anyone wants to see Bernat or Rafinha as LB starter if Alaba is out for season.
But if we want to get an “Alaba level” player to play in his absence...what happens when Alaba is healthy? Of course a player like P. Max would be nice but what happens a year from now when Alaba is healthy again? Odd spot to be in. Wonder if there’s anyone decent we could get on a loan?

Indeed it's a difficult situation, I suppose that an injury less than three months = no signing and more than three we'll get somebody. I hope Alaba is good,he had a decent game and he started getting back on track with Heynckes and now giving it all with Kovac. It's sad, the knee is tricky.

However it might be a blessing in disguise to close that LB-back up hole for good in the other hand it's not so simple because of the position, you can hardly get a better player than Bernat, who will stay benched worthing less than 25m. P.Max maybe, Rahman Baba or Willems, something like that

Alaba has been declining a bit as a LB so it could end up an improvement if we get Max as you guys mentioned. What happens after? Our board will think they've found their Ribery successor.
