On the plus side, nice restful summer for most Bayern players...
And TBH there are a LOT of players who should never wear the DFB kit in a competitive match again...
Muller, Khedira, Oezil, Hector, Reus, Draxler, who else?

It is not the strong one that wins, the one that wins is strong.

Last time, the reigning champions got mauled by Dutchmen and a very solid Chile. This time, the reigning champions got one of the easiest groups and proved how complacent the entirety of German football system has become, on every level.

James is the only Bayern player actually performing - probably because he hasn’t been in Bayern for long enough. This was ridiculous... I don’t support the German team because I have my own, but I am fairly certain that this will have consequences on the whole BuLi.

Exactly the same with me.
I think most will feel the same way. Something died in all of us after that thoroughly thoroughly woeful first half. I think in our minds, a lot of us knew this was not going to change in the second.

I'll third this.

Sometimes you just have that feeling in your gut - that no matter what you do, it's just not gonna happen.
That was pretty much the feeling for the last 45 minutes. Felt like at halftime it was already decided.
God Bless Thomas Müller

And let's be honest. We sucked against Sweden. This is the rockbottom.
Every year we whine about Bayern not having the right mentality in the CL. But this. It was South Korea ffs. And they played better with nothing at stake.

Get the shit from my colleagues out of the way tomorrow and I'll be over it. Hopefully their team will play Colombia and be out in the next round.

Yup, amateur is an apt description for this guy. I've always felt that fans that support him have probably never played the game themselves at any level and are playstation addicted couch potatoes obsessed with stats and percentages.

How can you try and trap a ball and it goes under you at this level? It happens to players when they are getting too smart and their eyes are elsewhere trying to pick the next pass but for FFS he was looking at the ball and it went under his foot. #-o

He had a golden run for a few years when he was "exploring" space as they say but if you're not quick, can't dribble, can't be a pure no 9, then it's going to catch up at some point.

I only feel sorry for Hummels, the only player who tried today both in defence and attack.

On days like this I'm thankful I'm not German and care less and less about the German NT. I won't lie, I'm sad about it, but it doesn't even come close to Bayern's elimination from the CL or even some unexpected losses.

Condolences to the Germans. It feels like the appropriate word. Big changes are needed. This WC is all on Löw. Some players sucked but it's his fault for playing them.
