New Germany Shirt

Postby Bayernbazi » Thu Nov 14, 2013 6:02 pm

What do you think of the new kit ? After watching Germany play in white shirt and black shorts for so many years I din't like the idea of a white shirt and white shorts.
Also if they wanted to represent the flag on the chest why did they have to use three shades of red and not use a darkened version of the flag colours ?

I like it, seems like a jazzed up version of the 2008 Euros shirt, which I have in my wardrobe.

I liked the 2008 shirt. The chest motif was made using the flag colours but this one doesn't make sense or let's say I cannot grasp the reason for the shades of red.

The first time I saw a picture of the new shirt I thought that it was a fake copy based on a leaked design with wrong flag colours....but I was wrong !

1) The 3 tone V stripe on the chest looks awkward and “screamy” after seeing the jersey evolved from 1990 towards more sober concepts to stay closer to the classic design.
2) The white shorts is definitely a mistake
3) I heard that the numbers on the back are green [-X
4) The away kit seems to be designed by Breno on his “spare time”
5) I am definitely not adding any of this to my collection and I can’t wait for the EURO 2016 kits to be available.

How do you come up with these?

It's because of Sao Paulo having horizontal red and black stripes right?

He is just trying to keep up with you on the Breno comments, although you have been lagging lately.

Having just seen the away kit (the horror of white shorts having already been revealed to me), can we convince the players to wear the home shirt and away shorts? Perhaps making sure that all the other items are burnt... er... I mean irretrievably lost due to a set of freak circumstances? Failing that, how about playing au naturel? Merkel can already vouch for Basti

Ironical isn't it, that the best team Germany has had for some time has to go to a World Cup in that...

The good thing about it is that like Bayern's away shirt, it can be worn as a casual polo shirt.

I like it... It is much nicer & smarter than the 1st one. It reminds me of a rugby gear.

That's a really nice shirt right there. I hope they use it in all games instead of that ridiculous home kit.
