He is quite average, bad in defense and with poor positioning. Only thing he has is speed and work rate.

That makes him stand out!
Everyone in this squad missing those speed and work rate except him.

Look at our No. 6 and 8, they can't defend well on 1vs1, can't run the ball up, only standing there and distribute the ball back and forth with >95% pass accuracy without any threat to Netherlands defenders.

Look at Thilo Kehrer, his mirror on the right wing, a disaster in defending and headless choker in attacking. :D

Yes, that's how bad the fullback situation is in Germany nowadays.

But we have Alaba who is on a different level. Schulz as a back up? Sure, why not. But I doubt he would want that. Not to mention that we play with a back 4 and that would expose his weaknesses even more

Yeah, Schulz is some kind of poor man Alaba but getting him as Alaba's back up is bad move for Germany NT imho. :coffee:

However that boy reminds me of Frings more than Alaba, with that work rate he can be a good destroyer in the middle

He knows when to commit a fould and always be ready to do the dirty works, like the old kind German players, I like that. This modern generations are missing it.

Yeah, wasn't he the one hacking our players months ago and we all pretty much wanted to kill him?

Kehrer isn't ready for the NT now... move Kimmich to RWB, and start a midfield of Gundogan, Goretzka, Stark

I want to see Havertz behind the front 2 instead of Goretzka who had 0 shot last night. Kimmich is not a defensive midfield, he's got 0 tackle, he will be a lot more effective on RB/RW, we need to find a strong DM to replace Kimmich there, maybe try out Sule in this position and get Stark to replace Sule.

Sule can become a great DM, his passing rate is also very high 92% in Bundesliga.

i did think Süle played adequately as DM when he featured there for a few games last season, but nah... he's way too valuable at CB, and he's now the de facto leader there. Stark would be a good shout as DM
