Alaba - Germany can still score goals (horrible qualifying campaign aside) but since Lahm retired there hasn't been one top class fullback foreither side. If Ginter continues his form for Dortmund he can seize the right-hand side spot, but Germany's best option for leftback is still Hector... which speaks volumes.

Alaba is also around 6 years younger than Lewandowski - that's 2-3 tournaments worth more of player.
