Both times with opposite meaning. :-)

I was about to post that at the break. Might as well do it now.

Spoken by Gary Lineker.

Still, a goal at the very last minute cannot overshadow what was a (another) poor performance by Germany.

It is not the strong one that wins, the one that wins is strong.

True... However, would they keep improving at that rate... They'd probably go very far...

Joachim Low's message at half time:

"Lose the match and you will have to lick my hands."

World class tactics.

Poor performance? IMHO it was a very good performance with lots of chances in the second half.

We were very unlucky not winning by 3 or 4 goals before Kroos goal.

I saw a bad Mueller as well but all the ratings I saw were quite high

His passing stats are average on whoscored (no surprise there). He has the highest tackles (3) along with Toni, so I suspect that's what bumps up his rating. In summary they are saying he had good defensive contribution.

The ratings are bullshit though. They log "Unsuccessful touches" and both Gomez and Muller have 0. If Gomez skying that chance over the bar is not a bad unsuccessful touch then I don't know what is.

Gomez's chance doesn't count because he was offside.

Yes it was hard to see. I wonder though, had he scored rather than missed, would VAR have been able to inform the referee who would have a chance to award the goal? I'm not sure if the referee whistled before or after the ball went out.
