How is Götze so much better for Germany? It's unreal the difference in confidence he has. Burning people left and right in the box. 2 penalties drawn, even though the second wasn't awarded

Still lacking a certain oomph in the final third...have been lacking that since the World Cup. Gomez looks to be able to provide it, if he's in form it should be ok, otherwise....oh boy.

I don't think this friendly says too much. Let's not forget, Germany were without Reus, Özil and Müller, the best trio, in my opinion, at the international level. Not too mention the childish mistakes. Two goals from set pieces. This brings back haunting memories... channeling inner peace, inner peace.
I liked Weigl more than Kimmich, to be fair. He seemed to move a little bit better. So did Brandt. All in all, it was a decent evening for the newcomers.
Sane, however, seemed way below par. That obvious chance, many wrong passes. Hope he'll show something else at the EUROs, should he play.
