Couldn't disagree more. In fact I think Lahm before 2009 was much better than Lahm now. He used to score more often (eg World Cup 2006 opener and Euro 2008 vs Turkey spring to mind) and run faster too.
You are somehow proving my point.
Lahm was overrated because he was great in offense. But he sucked defending. The main job for a wing back is DEFENDING.
What about Van Buyten being a top class CB because he scores lots of goals?
Lahm was a big disaster in the Euro in terms of defense and he also was with Bayern. But after that Euro he has been playing world class in defense too
