Speaking of Peru: does anyone know where Claudio Pizarro is going to be playing this season? Koln did not extend his one year contract and he has not announced retirement.

Bremen

It doesn't speak particularly well of BL that a 40 y.o striker is still fit enough to play.

Hopefully it will be just a very minor role

Where is the connection between the fitness of a player and the quality of the league?
Not saying that the Bundesliga has really high quality, but that makes no sense.
Besides that Pizarro really is only fit enough to play the bare minimum, his effective contribution is going towards zero.
Sané ---- Lewandowski ---- Gnabry
Davies - Thiago - Kimmich - Dest
Hernández -- Alaba -- Upamecano

Age of the oldest player used in the top two leagues in Europe in 2017/18.
Not counting goalkeepers, In the "bloody" EPL last season:
- Gareth McAuley (Centre-Back) for WBA: 38 years 1 month
- Bruno (Right-Back) for Brighton: 37 years 7 months
- Peter Crouch (Centre-Forward) for Stoke: 37 years 3 months[this is an apple to apple comparison)
Not counting goalkeepers In La Liga:
- Sergio Mora (Central Midfield) for Getafe: 38 years 8 months
- Aritz Aduriz (Centre-Forward) for Bilbao: 37 years 3 months
- Weligton (Centre-Back) for Malaga: 37 years

BTW, this is Pizza's fourth stint at Werder Bremen, the club that he joined for the first time 20 years ago.

The reason Germany sucks is because they can't differentiate between midfielders and forwards. So fucking irritating.

Sané won’t participate because he’s left the squad to be with his pregnant significant other. That’s fine because family comes first.

So instead I’d like to see this:

35 minutes without a clear idea. Without sharp wingers the team is nothing special.
