They were one of the best Italy's ever if not the best... and were kinda robbed.

Can you really compare '34,'38,'82,'06 with '54,'74,'90,14? I mean, you can give Italy credit for reaching four first, but if you look at it from a standpoint of whose four mean more now, Germany is miles ahead.

Well, it's true that it was easier to win the tournament in the past, but I strongly disagree with those who say older titles count less. I've heard the same thing being said for the CL and also for the local titles here in Malta.
As far as the EURO is concerned, Germany's first title (and Italy's only won) came from a tournament consisting of just 4 teams. Germany's second was played between 8 teams with no KO stage, except for the final. Were they easier than 2016? Probably, but they still had to qualify to play in that tournament and with so few places, that was harder.
Then again Italy's two games in 1968 were won by a coin toss and a replay.

I believe Italy will continue their fantastic run against the Germans. They just can't lose and even now when they're weak I still can't say that the stronger, but unconvincing Germany will finally win them. In case of Italy and Germany clashes, friendly matches are completely irrelevant. What happens in the tournaments is only what it counts.
