Schürrle has been really impressive in all his NT appearances though, didn't he also score v Brazil?

yes, and a lot cleaner than his goal against Switzerland and, yes, he also scored against Brazil.

which is pretty much the worst lineup Germany has ever had defensively consider it also has Mertesacker in the deep netherregions.

BTW Schürrle must have an awesome goal ratio with Germany. He has scored in almost every game he played in

The impressive thing about Schurrle isn't only the amount of goals he's scored, but also that in most games for the NT he was a sub.

I think he deserves to start more than Podolski.
