Ultimately its on the players to be smart. Some don't realize that having the mental fortitude to NOT go for that needless slide tackle, pull on some guy's shirt in the box, etc is just as essential as scoring a goal in some cases. For example tonight against England Diego Godín was simply stupid, lucky not to be sent off and if he had been who knows what would have happened

The Nationalmannschaft looked awesome on Matchday 1 but it faces a different beast when meeting the Black Stars on Saturday. Dealing with a direct attacking threat and physicality.

Good thing is that he already officiated half of the German players when Bayern played Raja Casablanca and he issued only 2 yellows in that game: both to the Moroccan players.

He plays for Sampdoria Italy, and came in as a late sub in the first match.

Really? I thought he did a face to face vs CR7; expecting him to start on the sides, not central. Boateng should replace Hummels; "just leaving for vacation before I got THE call so I went to Brazil" boy should replace Lahm at RB.
