Of the squad in this international break? Hopefully Rüdiger and Can, one of Plattenhardt and Halstenberg (hopefully the former), Younes, probably Brandt if Reus comes back. I hope he'll leave Ginter at home, too.

Stindl will be in; I hear that Löw likes him a lot and goals like this one help.

Three CFs ? I doubt.
He will take two in favour of more attacking midfielders , maybe he open up a space for Reus if he is fit

Stindl is more a second striker than a pure CF.

Stindl, Werner and Wagner were in the Confed Cup together, too.

Can someone explain to me what position and what style of play Stindl has?
I've never understood that player.

Don’t get the Rudiger hate he was decent imo, made a few good interceptions and his tackle on Mbappe was crucial. Think Süle needs to improve when he gets turned over by skilful/pacy guys (like Griezzmann did today) otherwise he’s pretty good. Plattenhardt was impressive as well in the second half.

As for France’s second goal the whole defense was at fault, no tackles leading to the build up and I was especially disappointed with Sami. Had Hummels and Rudy been on the pitch they’d have tackled or committed a tactical foul in the lead up to the second goal. The first goal is totally on Can, he was awful at RB.

Think Trapp did ok too and he could do nothing about the goals, hope he moves away from PSG to get regular football and then he could easily be Ter Stegen’s deputy. Slightly disappointed that Löw didn’t make use of more subs.

Anyway, I am so glad that Germany could salvage a draw at the end! Delighted to end the year unbeaten. France and Deschamps are terrific at Mourinho football (Park the bus then hit on a fast counter, or hoof the ball to a big striker) they have the personnel for that as well (Griezmann, Mbappe and Dembele fit the fast players bill and Giroud the big striker role) Also in Umtiti and Varane, the French have possibly the quickest CB pairing in International football.

Who cares? As long as he’s scoring goals I’m fine with that.

But on a serious note though, I think he is in the Thomas Müller mould. Can play CAM, Alongside a proper CF or on the right side if a 4231.

Red Queen would know more about this I believe.

RE Stindl: The Thomas Müller comparison came to my mind, too. Very clever player, good at finding spaces in congested areas, "Raumdeuter".

France could be like a replacement for Italy in that I fear them and their bus parking, counter attacking style. 2016 can easily happen again.
