never gets to play and hasn't played RB since when?

"Have you ever won a war?" is what was sung towards the end

Yes, the Franco-Prussian war of 1870/71, as our resident German history expert will explain I'm sure...

I have to say that I never had much good to say about Podolski, but I was very happy when he scored the goal.
Stay well brothers and sisters in this time of world peril.
No matter who or where you are, peace be with you.

I can still remember hearing his name for the first time around 2004(5)
I was so glad that finally Germany was going to have a new exciting striker.
His WC on home soil was sublime.
Then he signed for us but unfortunately there was an anti climax

True, if England shot on goals without posts perhaps they had some international titles, even Emile Heskey would have scored more than 7 goals in 11 years for the 3 lions.

Needless to say: good result for England finishing in second place in this specific game ( a friendly)

Oh don't- Yes it was!

Well, I could answer them: "Have you?"
Let aside the fact wars aren't a desirable thing - the realization as we all know is pretty demanding, as it would need a couple of working synapses in the fat drunkards heads - they wouldn't have "won" shit if it weren't for their big buddy from across the pond showing up... Ironically the very one they failed to beat cause a few peasants over there decided to fight them

I COULD ask have you ever won a tournament? Without buying a blind ref, that is

The English act as if they won both the world wars on their own.

I know this is OT
But had Germany had another leader not Hitler they would have won hands down.
He was ignorant and had no idea how to manage his war machine.
For him a retreat was like a show of cowardice ! His advisers used to tell him but he ignored them.

As for the English yes, they won thanks to the new energy from USA but their intelligence was sublime (in faking attack, mobilizing dummies to mislead the Germans) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Fortitude
